Numbers 5 and 6 Park Road, HalifaxPark Road is an exclusive street within the area of West Central Halifax.  The houses are large, semi detached properties.  They were designed for The Crossley Family (surprise surprise) by John Hogg, a local architect who also designed The Crossley and Porter Orphanage and The Thorp Fountain in People's Park (to name but a couple of items).

The grand nature of both the road and houses and their prime location below People's Park indicates that these houses were built for the wealthy citiziens of the time.  The properties were developed between 1858 and 1865.
